Abstract: Schembri talks with Liam Gauci, curator to the Maritime Museum in Vittoriosa about a series of historical artifacts that depict a snapshot view of how Malta celebrated Christmas (especially during the WW2 years). The objects selected vary from a famous historical newspaper: 'The London Gazette' (1803), a hospital discharge certificate (1921), A Christmas menu (1900s), a newspaper supplement: 'Young Malta' (1943) and a popular Christmas magazine: 'Parade' (1944). Each object enabling us to understand a little bit about the personal and collective experiences of the Maltese people during Christmas time, as well as their connections and influences from Britain.
