Abstract: Monsignor Anton Cordina was born in Rabat, Gozo in 1833 and was baptised by Dun Mikiel Sammut in St George’s church. His family, having lived in Gozo for a long time, moved to Senglea, Malta yet his father died while Cordina was still young. He realised that his calling was to become a priest and in 1857, he fulfilled his dream.
