Abstract: | Zammit-Maempel writes about the handbills published in the 18th century describing the use and efficiency of sharks' teeth in countering poison and other medicinal attributes. The author gives a detailed description of the handbills- their decorations, their sizes, their themes and places of publication. In the final pages of the document, he includes some illustrations of the sharks' teeth. |
