Interim financial report by the Malta Gaming Authority between January-June 2016 indicates that the direct gross value added generated by the Malta Gaming Industry amounted to 12% GDP. (MGA, 2016) Considering how much the gaming industry has grown after the last few years and the after-math it has had on the local economy, one should not underestimate the importance that this sector plays in Malta. The aim of the study is to identify and analyse the different sources of finance available to RG companies in a small country. The literature section will review various sources of finances and regulatory requirements pertaining to the remote gaming industry. To achieve the objectives set out in Chapter 1 of this thesis, two sets of interview schedules will be used with two different data subjects. These two data subjects are remote gaming companies and credit institutions. Data collection provided a clear indication that in Malta only a handful number of credit institutions are interested in financing remote gaming companies. Interviews with remote gaming companies established that there is a lack of communication between the remote gaming industry and the banking industry. Following the research findings, suggestions for further research were proposed.en_GB
