| Abstract: | The general features of raptor migration through Malta were elucidated by Beaman and Galea (1974) as a result of a five year study . A similar study was undertaken in the autumns of 1974-1978, the results of which are here compared with those of Beaman and Galea. The interpretations of raptor migration through the Maltese Islands offered by Delucca (1969) and Beaman and Galea (1974) are examined with reference to Honey Buzzard Pernis apivorus and a reinterpretation of Honey Buzzard migration through the islands is offered. |
