Abstract:	Lanfranco researches about the cynomorium coccineum linn which, while not endemic solely to the Maltese islands, is a plant that carries historical significance to the Maltese. The authors delves into the plant's discovery, historical medicinal uses, flowering time, as well as intertwining what previous authors wrote about the plant in order to form comprehensive research about the plant.
