| Abstract: | The plonking of a junk food outlet, or kiosk, cheek and jowl with the La Vallette statue in Valletta rightly raised more than one heckle, as this action was perceived as being the epitome of unbridled disrespect towards the cultural identity of our capital city. But whilst the perceived denigration on cultural assets attracts contempt from various quarters, the installation of new kiosks in areas which are important for their natural assets barely causes a ripple. |
