| Abstract: | The systematic list of species occurring during the two year period 1975-76 was compiled from the notes submitted by recorders whose numbers have been on the increase during the past few years. This increase has resulted in a better coverage of the bird-life of the Maltese Islands there being very few days with no entries in the daily log for at least one main locality during this two year period. However, there is still a lot more to be covered - sea-bird watching, to mention one example, is almost non-existent. On the other hand the migration of raptors is relatively extensively covered, as is the passage of the small passerines. |
