Abstract: | The acquisition and processing of large-scale and complex human behaviour is nowadays possible using a combination of wearable technology, wireless technology, cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data processing. Social interaction and behaviour detection is a multi variable task which requires the use of complex methods for detection. The main aim of the project is to design a system consisting of hardware and software components which enable the tracking of face to face human interactions. Once deployed, the system will provide data on which scientific decisions could be taken to improve the social dynamics of the environment being studied. The engineering challenge is to create a low power and compact electronic hardware which gathers interaction data and stores it remotely. In this project, the system proposed consists of two devices and a cloud. A smart wearable device which would be worn by the people in the study, interacts with strategically placed wall devices which also connect to the cloud to upload the interaction data. |
