Abstract: In this document, the authors study human history as depicted in various votive paintings found around the Mediterranean. The first part of the document is reserved for a brief mention of the history of religion, specifically, Christianity. Cuschieri and Muscat later fixate their attention on the depiction of religion and ships in art.
