Abstract: This study investigates the influence of handedness on figural creativity and Matrices Test was used to asses ability, a handedness questionnaire was used to confirm handedness, the Torrance Test for Creative Thinking assessed for figural creativity and the Differential Ability Scales Single Word Reading Rest was used to assess reading. These standardized tests were administered to a group of eleven, left-handed, ten year old girls and compared to a control group of eleven right-handed. All participants attended a church school. Basic statistical procedures using SPSS, included the independent samples T-test and between the left and right groups on handed figural creativity and literacy.
