Abstract: This article deals with improvisation theatre, its origins and how it is practiced in Malta. Improvisation theatre consists of a theatrical setting in which the plot, characters and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. Often improvisers will take a suggestion from the audience or draw on some other source of inspiration to get started. Malta Improv Group, an improvisation company, offers improvisation workshops and classes in Malta. Joelle Merheb, the director, presents the company in the interview.
