Abstract: | During 1941, there were 6644 deaths in Malta and Gozo including war casualties. Of these 1404, more that is, than one fifth of the total mortality, were due to "diarrhoea and enteritis" and occurred in infants under two years. I do not think I need say anything more to emphasize the importance of the problem I have chosen for discussion. The best treatment for the diarrhoeas of infancy is prevention. |
