| Abstract: | The protection of natural environment is the focal theme of outstanding news dicsussed within this article, pointing out to the various issues that are threatening nature and species. The killing of butterflies for collection purposes, overfishing for tuna, marine pollution, and conservation of wild flowers are the main topics brought forward to increase awareness for the importance of nature and the relative habitat conservation. Furthermore, effective educational campaigns in favour of the natural environment, including the remarkable action taken to protect endangered bird species in Norway and in Germany yielded very positive outcomes. |
