Abstract: | Isotopes have an established place in medical research, diagnosis and therapeutics. The understanding of complex problems connected with intermediary metabolism and metabolic products in health and in disease has been, in many ways, bound up with the application of tracer techniques, dilution analysis and kinetic studies involving isotopes whilst irradiation of unhealthy tissue by radioactive isotopes has afforded a major line of treatment in many forms of new growth. |
