Abstract: The continuing flow of immigrants to Canada over the past seven years resulted in many organizations and agencies having a deep interest in the newcomer, his problems, reactions and views. Practically the only sources of information concerning the immigrants are the foreign-language newspapers published in Canada - to which ,a vast majority of the newcomers subscribe, and which concern themselves in considerable measure with matters of interest to newcomers. Many of the newspaper are, in fact, edited and published by newcomers themselves, like the Malta News.
