| Abstract: | The 1961-62 season was one of the most active and stimulating in post-war years, particularly in the theatre. The concert-hall unfortunate:y saw a further decline in orchestral music, but on the whole there was much that was encouraging. Maltese dramatic companies - certainly two of them - were very busy; the visits of four professional companies from abroad must have sparked off their enthusiasm. |
