dc.description.abstractSir Ugo Mifsud, the son of Judge G. B. Mifsud was born in Valletta in 1889. He pursued his higher studies at the University of Malta, where he graduated B. Litt. (1907) and LL.D. (1910). In 1921, Dr. Mifsud contested the elections for the Legislative Assembly in the interests of the Unione Politica Maltese. He was returned for the first district and later nominated Minister of Industry and Commerce.en_GB
