Abstract: | The Tartana was a light ship pointed at both ends, with a fairly wide beam, one deck and using one large lateen sail with a polaccone, a great triangular sail set on the fore or front mast. But the Tartana used in Malta appear to have been bigger and used a better sail-arrangement. |
