Abstract: | I n the last two decades or so we have experienced an ever increasing interest in the past. More and more people are becoming intrigued by the continued discovery of 'things' made by man in the past. The further these 'things' go back in time the more interesting they become: from simple tools and ordinary household utensils to colossal masterpieces of sculpture; from the most rudimentary stone implements to the noblest artistic manifestations; from the earliest primitive cave or hut dwellings to the most sophisticated urban civilizations. |
