Abstract: Very attractive is the internal courtyard, which now is marbled and built. It resembles a circle with three deep recesses. After a small anteroom, a couple of wide steps lead to the thirty-two beam corridor which is being turned to a President's gallery. There is Dr. Anton Buttigieg's portrait, the second president of Malta. This long passage is harmonised by the identical spacious windows and the other side is assigned to the best sleeping commodity in the house. The main drawing room is chissled from the others to mark its grandeur and is adorned by the 'M', shaped loggia with the stripped pillars and the coarse beams. Certain settings, certain figures leap out from the past like the well known painting of the tightlipped Duchess of Portsmouth, which hangs nicely in the main lounge.
