Abstract: An 89-year-old woman was referred to the accident and emergency department with droopy eyelids. The onset of symptoms coincided with the initiation of clarithromycin prescribed for a respiratory tract infection. She was also reported to have a change in the quality of her voice and was choking on fluids.
