Diabetic Pregnancy Study Group : 16th annual meeting

Abstract

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Malta and in particular the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a fairly newcomer to the Diabetic Pregnancy Study Group, which this week is holding its 16th Annual Meeting. This is only the third occasion in which we are participating and therefore we feel very honoured that the Group has chosen Malta as the venue for this year's annual meeting. For this we are grateful to Professor Van Assche this year's Chairman of the D.P.S.G. and Professor Hoet for their encouragement and help. On behalf of the University of Malta and the Faculty of Medicine I welcome you all. From the selection of papers included in the eight sessions I have no doubt that as on previous occasions it will be a successful meeting with a free exchange of information and experiences in the subject of Diabetic pregnancy.
