| Abstract: | On April 7, 1899, an invading naval fleet approached the northern shores of Malta, and having carried out a reconnaissance to select the most suitable landing places, effected a successful invasion of our islands. At 8am that day, two battalions of Blue Jackets and one of Marines landed successfully together with their stores and equipment at Mellieħa Bay. |
