The script of #QUEST is a five-episode fantasy/comedy cartoon mini-series, intended for an adult audience. #QUEST tells a story of struggle in modern western life. Through the lens of animation and fantasy we explore the challenges of grief, addiction, insecurity, bigotry, and hardship. This project seeks to create a cartoon that appeals to adults and helps dispel the notion that cartoons are only for children. By analysing current market trends, researching the history of animation aimed at adults, and through practical application of screen-writing skills, this dissertation seeks to shrink the gap between what is considered children’s entertainment, and adult entertainment.en_GB
