Abstract: The serious potato disease known as late blight or potato blight (in Maltese known as il-marda tal-glata) is caused by a parasite that attacks the plant where there is humid and cold environment. Certain varieties of potato plants like the Desiree, are resistant to this vegetable's threat, however the most popular ones found in the Maltese Islands like the Arran Banner, are very susceptible to potato blight . The author here lists what adequate pesticides one should use against potato blight.
