| Abstract: | The Agrarian Society is one of the oldest voluntary societies in the Island. It has in fact just celebrated its 150 anniversary having been founded on the 12th April, 1844. At the time of the beginning of British Rule in Malta Agriculture was the main economic source of wealth in the Island. |
