Abstract: | The post-war era in Malta lacked colour until Maria Fleri Soler entered the scene. A look into her boutique shows the postmodern turn of Fleri Soler as she moves away from the traditional Maltese fashion leaning towards glamour and design. Her unconventional use of textiles have made it difficult for the Maltese to accept all of her designs, but Maria's select few clients and her daughter Annabelle's swimsuits have allowed for the boutique's prestigious position in Malta's fashion history. |
