Abstract: | The main objective of this study is to observe how stock returns of different football clubs which are listed on different Stock Exchanges across the European Continent behave when considering a number of events. Variables included in this study were market return, football results, and the transfer window. Furthermore, a concise questionnaire was distributed to various Maltese Stock Brokers to observe whether Maltese investors and the stock brokers themselves are familiar with such publicly traded football clubs and what might be required to attract potential investors. |
