| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to analyze the rights of hot pursuit and visit from the standpoint of Maltese law vis-à-vis the 1958 and 1982 UN Conventions of the Law of the Sea. Hot pursuit in the air and on land will not be dealt with. Regard will be given to current developments in the field, and reference will be made to case law, journals, all relevant treaties and the teaching of publicist/jurists. The topic chosen for my thesis is not archival in that there is no thesis currently covering this subject. |
