Abstract: This thesis is a practical, unprecedented and topical examination of selected maladies that are crippling systems and areas of judicial practise and administration. It is a vision for an improved judicial system of the Law Courls by the suggestion of some proposals. Besides undue delays, that have been a recurrent malady from bygone days, the other maladies selected for discussion arise from surveys carried out in the Law Courts building among the players themselves. Results of these surveys show, that issues like the court building, costs and access to court, actions or lack of actions of the players themselves, public perception and the need for more investment in technology, resulted as the main areas that merited discussion. Hence each area was systematically addressed in a different chapter with the existing maladies for each area listed followed by the respective proposals for solutions.
