Problems in extradition

Abstract

In this thesis, I have tried to set out the problems which beset the subject of extradition in as practical and coherent a way possible. My interest in the subject started when I was still in my first year of the Course of Laws and for this reason one of my biggest problems was selecting which material to use out of the vast amount I had amassed over four years! Hardly a month goes by without some fugitive from justice contesting extradition proceedings and the spread of terrorist activity has made the topic alive for even the layman who reads the newspapers or watches the media with interest. I hope that this work will prove useful for those who wish to delve into the complexities of the topic of extradition as well as to any other student reading about the subject for the first time.
