Abstract: In the International Conference held in Riga, 20-21 April 2001, Malta was represented by Dr Charles Briffa who was sent by the Ministry of Education and who presented a paper on new elements in Maltese in one of the workshops. The following is a report by Dr Briffa on the main issues of the Conference.
