Abstract: The title of my thesis is 'Duties and Functions of Curators Under Bankruptcy Law.' Although the subject of my thesis may seem to be boring to the common reader, yet I have done my utmost to make it as interesting as possible to other students who wish to consult themselves about any particular matter on the title which I have chosen. Unfortunately our law on Bankruptcy (including, naturally, those provisions which deal with the nature of the curators in general) is quite obsolete. Our present Laws on Bankruptcy came into force on the 2nd October 1857, by ordinance XIII of the same year, before that we had the Law of 1815, which was promulgated on the 1st November 1815, which came into force on the 14th of the same month.
