Abstract: This research sets out to find out how the regulations of the Malta Gaming Authority effects the iGaming operators financially. Which aspects effects them positively or negatively, and what actions do the operators take in order to enhance and safeguard their financial stability. Several iGaming companies were questioned, both small companies together with larger ones in order achieve a better perspective of the entire concept. Apart from the iGaming operators, the MGA was also interviewed. In total 10 interviewees were conducted, and several questions were asked in relation to this study. The essential data and material were sought from peer-viewed secondary data sources, and from online resources such as the Malta Gaming Authority’s website. The methodology was a qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews formed an important part of this research. The transcripts of the interviews were analysed using thematic analysis. From the analyses conducted, the author derived 5 different themes with 20 different sub-themes. The findings showed that the regulations had a financial impact on the operators in many different ways, both positively and negatively.
