Abstract: The object of this dissertation is to consider certain restrictions on pricing, which Article 82 imposes on firms that have market power. Article 82 is composed of two key elements - dominant position and the abuse of that dominant position. Therefore it is imperative that a proper examination into the pricing obligations of dominant firms is preceded by a general overview of these two concepts - hence dominance and abuse.
