Purpose : The purpose of this study is to find out whether there are certain personality traits that are likely to be highly required for knowledge workers in the iGaming sector. Additionally, it aims to measure the extent such personality profiles support employee commitment. Design : The data was collected in two parts. The first part involved a focus group interview with HR professionals currently working in the iGaming sector. The second part consisted of an online survey and a personality assessment targeted at current employees and potential incumbents. Findings : The findings of this study suggest that there may be a negative correlation between the similarity of the personality profile to the ideal profile defined by the HR professionals, and the commitment level. Research limitations : This research targeted both current employees and potential incumbents in order to measure the correlation between personality profile and commitment level both post and prior to entering the organisation. However, due to the lack of data on potential incumbents, it had to focus on the current employees only. Further studies should be conducted in cooperation with iGaming companies in order to receive support to the findings of this study, and to avoid restrictions in data collection due to company policies and manage the sensitivity of the topic to the participants.en_GB
