Abstract: | Leptospirosis is caused by spirochete bacteria in the genus Leptospira and can present with a vast range of clinical symptoms. We report a case of leptospirosis in a 47-year-old gentleman who presented with sepsis and ended up with multi-organ failure. He was treated with piperacillin/tazobactam and doxycycline was added at a later stage. The patient recovered well with no complications. A literature review follows. |
