Abstract: This Dissertation consists of three parts. Part I, Games for the Mathematician is intended mainly for people with a good mathematical background. Apart from games this part includes studies on topics of interest to the mathematician. Part II, 200 Games for entertainment is intended for the general reader who is not necessarily mathematically inclined. Part III, Teaching Mathematics through Games is of particular interest to teachers. It consists of ten games about topics covered at school. These games can be applied in class situations.
