Abstract: A complex issue in the context of dealing with behavioral problems in schools is the personality of the teacher. Some teachers have difficulty in controlling a class because of the qualities they lack. The way in which the teachers talk is important. It is inevitable that communicating with people in a curt and dismissive manner is inappropriate, and will result in a negative dismissive response. Teachers need to feel confident in their ability to govern themselves. In this thesis 'Discipline: towards thoughtful teaching', I faced the problem of discipline as an essential strategy for the teacher in setting up a learning activity. True classroom discipline cannot be brought about overnight. Rather, it is a process that grows gradually as teachers treat students humanely and considerately. Through the chapters, I have emphasized the five fundamental aspects of the subject corresponding with the key words below, which every teacher should pass through. This thesis's has been chosen because it meets the need of student teachers and experienced teachers wishing to explore and develop their own practice and will also be of use to these involved in helping others to develop their teaching skills, manage pupil's behavior and develop an appropriate authority style.
