| Abstract: | This dissertation comprises a general information on folklore, the importance of folklore in literature and folklore in children's literature. It includes: (1) a classification of the folkloristic topics found in the textbooks Mill-Gnejna Maltija, Fra Martin u Novelli Ohra, Gabra ta' Proza ohat-Tfal I and Gabra ta' Proza ohat-Tfal II, used in Form I and II. (2) a critical study of the folkloristic aspects found in the content. (3) how folklore promotes literary appreciation. |
