Abstract: | In this dissertation, the play Boulevard by Francis Ebejer is analysed and discussed. The tripartite structure is presented and each act is examined individually. The characters are then divided into primary, secondary and periferal groups; later they are treated separately. The themes individuality and collectivity are commented upon and illustrated with reference to the text. The environment is later presented as the protagonist of the play as it has a leading part in it. The boulevard in fact is always presented as the prison of all the characters in each act. |
