After considering the implication of environmental education on school practices, the study focuses on the infusion of environmental education principles in school curricula. The project aims at producing an environmental education pack for teachers to conduct pro-environmental activities with primary school children. The pack is built around a set of walks to Buskett, which are regular feature in the primary school schedule of visits. "Exploring Buskett" seeks to familiarize pupils with various characteristics of the natural, social and historical aspects particular to Buskett. The approach adopted focuses on utilizing walks to infuse environmental education principles with the different areas of the primary school curriculum. Three itineraries are suggested, each focusing on particular dimensions of the Maltese environment. The teacher's pack includes routes to be taken, and suggested activities that could be used as an introduction to the walks, on-site and as a follow-up. The dissertation also includes feedback on the design and the educational value of the package.en_GB
