Newspaper documents contributed to the history of education in Malta, 1900-1915

Abstract

This Dissertation is a bibliographical compilation of all the articles about Education published in the Maltese Newspapers of the period 1900 - 1915. The aim of this study is to provide a useful tool for the researcher - a complete set of references. A brief account and reference of each article or group of articles are to be found under specific categories and sub categories. There are 23 sections related to different aspects of education which are grouped in 7 parts, the first treating the general educational system and people's concept of education. The other parts include burning issues; like the language question problem; various topics related to education; Tertiary, Secondary and Technical Education, Elementary Education, Private and Other Schools, and other issues . A detailed table of contents (including all the subtitles) is to be found before each section to provide a whole summary of the theme. An index of Authors and of Names is to be found at the end of the Dissertation.
