Abstract: The dissertation attempts to infuse environmental education into the secondary school curriculum through the production of an interdisciplinary resource pack which focuses on various environmental issues. The resource pack includes a set of seven educational games together with other simulation activities which enable students to become more aware of environmental problems enabling them to explore possible solutions for them. The objectives, materials required and the instructions on how to carry out the activities are also listed in the pack. The approach adopted encourages the development of pro-environmental attitudes and interpersonal skills as well as an autonomy in decision-making processes. The pack also provides teachers with possible contacts with both local and also international environmental groups who can provide updated information on environmental issues. The resource pack was evaluated by teachers from various local schools. Besides identifying the gaming and simulation technique as one of the best innovative learning approaches to be adopted in environmental education, their recommendations indicate the need for the development of such interdisciplinary resource material in the secondary school curriculum.
