Abstract: | This study aims to investigate teacher's approaches to art teaching at the From 3 (Option) level. My past experience as a secondary school student, the data gathered from the interviews and the readings, will help me design ten innovative lessons. I will implement the lessons, evaluate them and act upon them in an Action Research procedure. In the introductory chapter I account my unpleasant art learning experience at secondary school level. Next, I discuss the readings regarding creative teaching approaches in the present post-modem context. In Chapter 3 I then report my selection of the research procedures. This takes me to present and analyse the data gathered in the teachers' interviews. My following step is to explain, my aims for the choice of lessons I designed for the Form 3 (Option) class and, how the lessons developed when I tested and evaluated them. The study delves into creativity as I explore the issue through a choice of lesson approaches but also through my incessant quest for personal growth. Keywords |
