Abstract: This is the study of the memorials dedicated to Christian souls. It is intended to bring to light more details regarding the background and the reasons behind Wayside Memorial Tablets, and whom they commemorate. This is being done before they are completely lost, either due to modern 'progress' or through ignorance. This is a study of a part of our local popular history, which to my knowledge has never been explored. All the research and data is based on the still existing plaques often eighteenth, nineteenth and early half of the twentieth centuries.
