Abstract: This is a study concerning the teaching of from the points of view of psychology and the philosophy of education. It traces an analyses of the characteristics of art education in the field of methodology and organization: development in children's learning and expression. Some attention is also given to the benefit of art for slow learners and the mentally handicapped who also require a sense of achievement and success. The intention of the study remains one simple educational preoccupation, that of understanding fuller and deeper the nature and meaning of art. This is aided in the end by a short practical commentary of eleven photographs as a manifestation of all the proposed theories.
