| Abstract: | This study is divided into 14 chapters. Each chapter deals with one piece of music which could have been written by Giuseppe Balzano. Within the chapter one will find the original text in Latin, a free translation of the text in English, a sample (photocopy) of the original score, an edition of the score and a critical analysis of the musical score. The analysis is aimed to explain the structure of the pieces and the style used. This will eventually help to establish as much as possible whether the works were really written by Giuseppe Balzano or not. |
