dc.description.abstractStudents and teachers are finding difficulties in standard Maltese geography Form 1 text. It seems to be inadequate for its conditions since teaching methods have changed. We believe that the most effective solution is the production of a CD meant to accompany the first two chapters of the textbook. Considering that the book 'Spaces, Places and People' edited by John Agius is rather dated and was produced in particular circumstances, it is very difficult to reproduce a Form 1 book again. We are going to analyse this book through the given questionnaires with the aim of identifying problems in this book that students and teachers are encountering with when using it. Hence we are going to produce a CD that will complement the first two chapters of the present book about map skills. We will design and give a test to identify the CD's effects on the students versus the traditional book's learning effect. Other research methods include structured interviews with some authors of the textbook.en_GB
